We want all of our guest’s furniture selections to be the right choice, and your satisfaction is very important when considering investments in your home. Seat n Sleep’s sales staff is committed to providing the best possible guidance in your furniture selection process, but mistakes can happen. We offer for all purchases, (excluding special orders which have a 72 hour cancelation window) a 14 Day no-questions-asked cancelation period on uncompleted sales orders. In addition, if when your furniture purchase is delivered/picked-up and the items do not fit, match, or are not perfect for your home you may return your product within 5 days for exchange or refund, delivery fee will apply if it is needed for the exchange unless the exchange or re-delivery is for damaged, defective or incorrect merchandise as assigned on the sales order for delivered merchandise. All store pick-up merchandise must be brought back to the store by the customer, it the item's original packaging, for either return or exchange within 5 days from when it was picked-up. Please carefully review sales orders with your sales consultant when you are making purchases and verify that all items contained in the sales order are complete and accurate. As Adam always says: “Your mattress is the MOST IMPORTANT thing you own!”, and most people would have to agree, a good nights’ rest is priceless. Seat n Sleep’s sales staff will take the time to find the perfect mattress for each guest, and we will guarantee it! We offer a 60 night exchange on all premium mattress sets we sell (must be for the same size as purchased and the exchange for the comfort guarantee is only for the mattress, as box foundations are universal for all mattresses we offer). It is recommended to experience your new mattress set for a minimum of 30 nights in order to allow your body to adjust to the new proper support. Please note this is a comfort guarantee for exchange only, no returns for refund on mattress purchases. There is no cost for the service, however the purchase of a mattress protector is strongly recommended as any soils/stains will void this guarantee and also your warranty. Mattresses are personal use products, and we will not resell any returned mattresses to any guest. However, if the mattress you selected is not right for you, we will exchange it for a new one and donate the returned product to a non-profit organization. You only have to pay the difference/receive store credit for any price difference; delivery fee will apply if it is needed for the exchange (one exchange allowed).
Seat n Sleep offers either customer pickup or in-home delivery for your furniture and mattress purchases, and there are a few things to consider when you make your choice. We offer a convenient on-sight pick-up warehouse at our Portage store, and Seat n Sleep has one of the area’s largest in-stock inventories of sofas and mattresses in Southwest Michigan. With our newest expansion, we do have a new off-site warehouse/distribution center and pick-up merchandise will sometimes have to scheduled a day ahead of time to be transferred to our store location. We will, for your convenience, hold any products for up to 14 days from the purchase date, to accommodate future move-in dates, or the completion of home remodeling projects at no charge. If your order contains back-ordered merchandise or special orders, the date the order becomes ready and complete will be the date used instead of the original purchase date for the purpose of this policy. Layaway purchases are not subject to policy until the date they are paid in full, at which time this policy will take effect. Orders not picked-up/delivered beyond 14 days are subject to either a 5% convenience holding charge for up to 30 days past this date or a 15% restocking fee. Orders will be canceled after 45 days and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund. We want to be able to address the needs of everyone for in-stock availability, while also balancing the flexibility needed for special circumstances where planned timelines of moving or remodeling don't proceed as planned. Please schedule a pick up day with your sales consultant, your merchandise will be transferred for your pick up day and will be available after 3 pm for the day you schedule. Pick up hours are now 3 pm until close for pre-scheduled appointments, same-day pick ups are not always possible. Products will be provided in original factory packaging, any required assembly is your responsibility. Please inspect all items before accepting the merchandise, and concealed damage or defects must be reported to the store within 48 hours for remedy. Our staff will help load your items, but Seat n Sleep is not responsible for any damage/injury to you, your property, or the merchandise from loading, transportation, or installation into your home. Returns/exchanges on picked-up merchandise are required to be in the same new-condition as when they were received. Warranty/service on picked-up products may either require you to transport a product to our warehouse or pay for in-home service.
We charge for delivery, as it is a service Seat n Sleep offers, which is not built into our low prices. Furniture and mattresses are generally large, heavy and hard to transport. Seat n Sleep offers two options for delivery as a service for all of your purchases. Our normal delivery area is 35 miles from our retail store location; however we will deliver up to 150 miles away—please contact our store for rates and schedule availability, the prices below are for local deliveries.
For only $89.99 we will deliver your entire order to your home. We will place your furniture in the original packaging either at your door or in a garage. With this option, the customer is responsible for all assembly and disposal of packaging. Curb-side delivery is available 7 days a week and in many cases can be done on the day of purchase.
For only $199.99, we will deliver your entire order to the room of choice whether its one piece or an entire house full of furniture. Some perks to purchasing this service include: full assembly and installation of all items purchased in your home, we take all packing debris away, (*please click here to read about our warranty disclosure) and there is no charge for authorized warranty exchanges via our delivery service for up to 1 year from original delivery date if this service is purchased on the original purchase. Transportation is not part of any warranty coverage, and this extended service is offered as a part of the original purchase of our delivery service but is limited to the 1 year coverage.
Please note that we offer same day delivery on many of our products so we ask that you be prepared for your delivery appointment in order for our distribution team to meet these scheduling demands. We generally schedule an 8-hour window for all deliveries, and our team will call to confirm your appointment and an estimated hour window of arrival the day of delivery. Please have the room ready for your new merchandise. No COD’s are accepted from our delivery team, all payments must be made prior to your delivery appointment. When your new products arrive, please inspect all items for defects or damage, any items not satisfactory should be refused and noted on your delivery receipt.
**Important Notice: Due to Covid 19, this option of in-home delivery may not be available. In an effort to help protect our team and our customers, this service option may be postponed during peak periods of reported cases. Seat n Sleep and its staff reserves the right to refuse in home service if anyone in the household appears to to be sick, and we further ask if someone is sick to please postpone any such service in your home. Manufacture warranties protect the consumers from product defects. Defects should be reported to our store promptly for remedy-such remedy is bound by issuer’s policies—Seat n Sleep makes no warranty beyond what is contained in writing, and will advocate your warranty claim with the manufacture on your behalf as a courtesy. All warranty periods begin from date of original purchase of any product, service repairs and/or replacements, if issued, do not start a new warranty period. We offer mattress protectors and furniture care protection/service plans in order to provide additional value and benefits to your purchase and should be considered prior to receiving merchandise.
Manufacture warranty information is made available for each of our partner venders when you receive your merchandise and/or via their respective websites, and will vary based on each specific brand. Generally, these warranties will cover defects in workmanship and materials used in the production of their products. Careful choice is recommended when purchasing furniture and mattresses with regards to its intended use, purpose and utility. All of our partner venders are reputable manufactures and distributors—and all excel as leaders in our industry for their product quality, value, customer service and dedication to you the consumer. Although unfortunate circumstances do happen in our homes such as unintentional damage and/or excessive wear and tear, please respect the intended purpose of a manufacture warranty and of our service department’s role in providing the very best after-the-sale service we can possibly provide.
Seat n Sleep offers a 1-year Free in-home service call program to any purchases made at our store through our furniture in-home delivery service program. All furniture purchases you make along with purchasing our low priced in-home delivery service, in our normal delivery area (within 30 miles of any store) qualifies! If you have any concerns with any of your qualified purchases (except for fabric protection issues, click here), within one year after delivery, regarding any manufacture defects or proper installation, simply call our store to set up your no-charge service appointment (scheduling will be usually be on Mondays). Our service team will inspect the products and collect information for your claim, conduct on-site repairs when possible or pick up the affected product for off-site repair or replacement. Again, this service is limited to defects in material/workmanship whereby governed by the manufacture’s policies, and at your exclusive remedy, we will repair or replace, at the producers option, your furniture. Any damage to furniture, beyond reasonable wear and tear, caused by improper use, misuse or neglect cannot be covered for free service/replacement. Please note that cushions on upholstery products will soften naturally with use, and this should be considered normal wear and tear and not a loss in resiliency or a manufacture defect.
Picked-up merchandise may be brought to our warehouse for all warranty service related repairs/exchanges covered by the manufactures warranty for a period of one year from original pick-up date. Our in-home service call program is available for picked-up merchandise at our current delivery rate, currently $149.99 in our normal delivery area or our current extend area rate.
Limited services repairs, are available through our service department for a fee for non-manufacture defects or for product issues arising after a period of 1 year from delivery/pick-up date. Many of our products have warranty coverages beyond a period of one year for components; such coverage though does not include transportation or labor. Seat n Sleep offers labor service at our option, and transportation as explained above as part of our customer service to you our customer. The availability and fee rate for additional services will vary based on individual situation, but quotes are free of charge to our guests. ServeCo North America is the administrator of your Lifetime Fabric Protection Warranty or your Total Care Protection Program. Four Important Tips from Seat n Sleep
- After purchasing ServeCo products, review the warranty terms, and maintain a file with all original paperwork.
- If a covered accident occurs, call within 30 days
- Don’t try and self-treat affected area with any chemicals

Our preferred supply partner for mattresses is the Englander Bedding-Midwest factory. Your new mattress/foundation comes furnished with a warranty and care card affixed to the side. Please review the warranty terms and conditions, as well as the care instructions for your new bedding purchase. A few notes from Seat n Sleep:
- Please consider purchasing a mattress protector, as any stains to the cover of a mattress will void the warranty on it, due to federal health regulations.
- Your new mattress should be rotated at least every 6-months to even out wear, a good way to remember is daylight savings time begin/end… spin your clock and spin your bed!
- Heavier full size sets, and all queen or king size sets need center supports.
- Although we sell mattresses without box foundations, improper placement of a new mattress on older box springs or other inadequate foundations will void warranties, please ask your sales consultant for more details.
- EXPECT slight body impressions! That is the sign of a mattress breaking in, its huge impressions (over 2’’) you should be concerned with.
If you feel you have a warranty concern, please contact our store to set up a service call. We will offer, to all valid warranty claims, replacement service though the manufacture on your behalf, as per their policies. No charge for any mattress service call in our normal delivery area. No delivery charge for warranty replacement for any mattress/box foundation for any authorized replacement claims made within one year of original delivery/pick up date, delivery fee applies to exchanges after one year if needed.
Although we offer great flexible finance programs at Seat n Sleep, sometimes on-hand cash is a more attractive option to make your furniture or mattress purchase. We get it, mattresses and furniture are large ticket purchases, and it may not be preferred to “charge it”, or it can be hard to “save for it” or “I really want to lock in this sale price”—we listened. LAYAWAY! Yes, we do layaway! Here is how it works:
- Your initial deposit is only 15% of the purchase price.
- You have a 90 day term to complete the purchase.
- Sale prices are locked-in, you get to take advantage of the “deal”.
- Clearance items and/or Facebook Specials are not eligible.
- Inventory will not be reserved until your order is paid in full.
- Money is refundable and/or transferable at any time (subject to the 14 day holding policy once paid in full)
- Accounts with no payment activity and/or expiring past 90 days maybe canceled.
- Upon paying in full for your purchase, we will reserve order and/or order unavailable items. Seat n Sleep cannot guarantee the availability of items purchased in our Layaway Program, and some itmes maybe out of stock or discontinued at which time you will granted a full refund or offered reselection. Layaway can be converted to financing at any time.
Satisfaction Guarantee-Furniture 5-day exchange/refund is limited to non-special order purchases that are completed within 14 days of initial purchase date (or the date the order is complete in the case of back-ordered orders, or in the case of a layaway the date it is paid in full). Purchases, including layaways, with completion dates exceeding 14 days from this date will qualify for satisfaction guarantee for exchange or refund, but will be subject to the 5% convenience holding charge which will be deducted from the original payment. Special order merchandise requires a 50% non-refundable down payment prior to ordering, this deposit is transferable, but not refundable under our Satisfaction Guarantee-Furniture Clearance merchandise and floor sample purchases are not eligible for our layaway program, as these items must be paid for in full and are sold “as-is”. Mattress/pillow protectors, linens, pillows and/or soiled or damaged merchandise cannot be returned or exchanged. Delivery fees, after preformed are non-refundable. All refunds will be made within 7 business days via corporate check for cash/check transactions and refunds to credit cards/finance programs must be issued to the same account originally charged. Please note shipping timelines for special orders and/or backordered merchandise are estimations and cannot be guaranteed by Seat n Sleep. Any discontinued and/or backordered merchandise exceeding 10 weeks will be granted a full refund. Commercial use of products voids all warranties, with the exception of our commercial lines of furniture explicitly sold to commercial entities. These store policies we hope provide the very best terms and conditions for all of our guests, and they may be modified in order to improve customer service without notice.
